Initially a river starts from a mountain. After that sewage gets mixed with it . Similarly all the Puranaas initially came very pure from sages. But Pournikas who came after that added many irrelevant stories to the Puranas and spoiled them. So the proof of Puranaas will not show us God.

People having read a book 'About Russia' will be speaking as if they know very well about Russia. They will know about Russia only as far as the book teaches them. But those who have gone in person to Russia know very well about Russia. Similarly people boast they know about God after studying the Puranas. Only those who have experienced God in person will know his True Glory.

One selling a Beetle leaf, will keep spoiled leaves in between good leaves and sell them together. Similarly many irrelevant stories got inserted again and again in Puranas and Preached in the world. We have to avoid them and read only those that give peace to the mind.
